Hi. I'm new here so real quick I wanna say thanks to mobiusclimber for recommending this site/store/community as it all seems wonderful and helpful, and I've finally gotten around to getting on here to post.

From what I understand the RS store is very dynamic and this thread looks like the right place to go. The size of the store has me wondering if I should bother seeking out American consoles/games anymore. I have a few items in mind that I'd like to get, none of which appeared today in the store search results, and I'm fairly certain they're commonly requested and easy to obtain, so here we go, all Super Famicom and CIB is greatly preferred:

Highest, preferred, priority:
ファイナルファンタジー IV/V/VI (Final Fantasy 4, 5, 6)
聖剣伝説 3 (Seiken Densetsu 3)
スターオーシャン (Star Ocean)

Medium priority:
ロックマン&フォルテ (Rockman & Forte)
New Mobile Report Gundam Wing: Endless Duel
Front Mission

Low priority:
ゼルダの伝説 神々のトライフォース (Zeruda no Densetsu Kamigami no Triforce, Zelda 3, a.k.a. Link to the Past in USA)
Chrono Trigger

My plan is to knock those SFC wishlist items out before I venture off and get into Famicom/FDS. Might be a while since I can see there is a lot to look into, much more than I ever heard of so far. :D

I saw the thread about IPMOs and, never having the need to issue one, am wondering if that sort of thing is handled digitally these days, or if it really is a slip of paper that needs to be mailed out? From what I could tell it is still an actual document that is physically mailed.

I'd like to see quotes and availability for these and presumably at least half of these items will most certainly be favorable to purchase from here (if my searching is any indication of such, anyway.)

I gotta say I was surprised that most of those turned up no results in a search, I figured they were so common that they would always be in stock. I can see two or three of those being maybe a little obscure but overall I would think they are popular.

Thank you for the help in advance guys.

Edit: I see the forum put my rank as "Probably a spammer" Very clever.

Triforce of the Gods is awesome, we totally need that in store.

I think part of the reason they're not in stock is b/c they're fairly common, and also b/c the few times they DO get stocked, I end up buying them. =p (Well, half of those you listed anyway.) Don't worry, I'll leave your order alone. :D

Well, thank you.

Why do you always order them when they show up? How many copies do you need?

I really dig the art on Zelda 3. Not just that, a lot of them have nice art! Although sometimes I see really goofy things. Ever looked at the Rockman 3 - Famicom cart label lately? Talk about lack of effort.

Edit: Mobiusclimber, your avatar! Oh man I can't remember the name of that skit! Man, that was funny as hell! Those superheroes who fail to coordinate their names and colors and this villain scolds them for it and tries to explain to them why they're doing it wrong. I love it.

I love how he makes the rangers (I think it was called five rangers or something?) appear by molesting the one woman, even after he starts dating her friend.

And I sell a lot on Amazon, so sometimes I buy up a bunch of copies of certain games that sell really well on there. FFV, Pocket Monsters Midori, that sorta thing.

It's from one of the Downtown shows and the skit was called Goranger, after the TV show Himitsu Sentai Goranger.

Should I always assume every quote for an item is CIB, unless otherwise noted?

I'll keep an eye out for updates here as the other items come in.

Yeah :) CIB as a standard unless otherwise noted. The rest of the games you requested are cheaper (which is why I didn't quote them cause even if you don't like them, I need to reorder them for the store anyway hehe).

What would help me personally would be if there was some kind of star rating reference the condition of the game: box, manual & cart.

I.E. 1 star would be very poor & 5 star would be mint.

For fussy b*stards like me it would help a lot, rather than me hassling Alex each time I'm interested in games.

I suggest separate famicom units. Both the original Famicom and the disc drive as well as replacement belts or the rubber/plastic sleeve thing lukemorse1 (youtube) uses to make his belts.

You could also take broken Famicoms, and sell the controllers separate from the unit, since they are easy swaps.

OK.....here goes nothing. I have been looking for a Japanese TV to play my Famicom on for years. If I can purchase one from you I will be very happy (and think of you every night).

Why? There's nothing inherently different about a Japanese tv vs. US tv. Get a NES RF and a cheap Sony tube television and it should work.

Yeah, getting a tube tv from here would be incredibly expensive for shipping.

Not that I don't want your money, but I'd rather see you spend it on a bunch of games than a marginally different TV. :)

NTSC-J vs. NTSC-U/C, it would make the famicom come in on ch 1 or 2.

Regardless, yes nothing wrong with a US tv on ch. 95 or 96.

I thought that had more to do with the radio frequencies themselves and which channels they are meant to send a frequency to, not necessarily the actual tv's? So if you buy a Japanese television, chances are that the Famicom signal is still going to show up on channel 95 or 96.

It has to do with the frequencies being labeled differently in the different regions. The frequency Japanese TVs see as "Channel 1" is seen by US TVs as "Channel 95"... The channel #s are just labels, really.
