Casio Loopy Part 2: Can you feel the Loopy tonight?

In part 2 of our Casio Loopy series we are going to look at a few of the games. As mentioned before, the target demographic for this console was exclusively (and I mean exclusively) young girls. All the games are what one might expect a young girl to be interested in: dressing up things, finding a romantic prince, forming a heavy metal band. Scratch that last one.

Casio Loopy Part 1: Oh how I Loopy You

Casio: makers of great watches, cell phones, and other electronic miscellany. Who would have thought they would be the company to release one of the biggest failures in video game history? You thought the Super Grafx had a small lineup? Well, yeah, it did I guess. But clocking in right behind it is the Casio Loopy with a grand total of eleven released games.

History is paved with vanilla consoles that couldn’t cut it. All the way from the Studio II to the Pippin companies have tried to throw their respective hats in the arena only to return home to their sullen wives at the end of the day hatless and heart-broken. So what makes this console so unique? The target demographic for the Loopy was exclusively young girls.
