Figuring out Battle Heat for the PC-FX.
Hey folks. Wonder what’s up with this video? Well, It’s a recording of me playing Battle Heat.
If you’re familiar with this game, you probably don’t know how to play it regardless. I’m writing this in the hopes that I can rectify that. As you can see here, I beat this game and made it look relatively easy.
I was writing this guide originally as a “bounty”, not expecting that I’d have to post it here myself. Harrrr. Some of the writing is kinda goofy, kinda like myself.
I kinda wrote the guide as if expecting it to be put out in raw text or a GameFAQs article, so it probably won’t stylistically match with the rest of the stuff here. Yadda yadda yadda. Point is, I wrote this guide hoping it’ll educate some people on how to play this game - especially considering that there haven’t really been many serious attempts at a guide for this game before this point.
You can see some info that’s actually -helpful- with the more button. While a lot of the stuff is requested stuff from Sensei and Alex, I’ll just tell you right here that the most important things you need to know are to Defend and Jump Kick.

How To Play Hanafuda: Koi Koi
About half a year ago I wrote an article on how to play the Hanafuda game Koi Koi. After many months of bugging Alex to put it up on the front page, he finally just gave me access to the front page. So if there are any major grammar errors it is all his fault
So basically, waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay back in the day Nintendo started out making Hanafuda cards used to play a gambling game that wasn’t outlawed at the time. Eventually the gambling bans were lifted. Even after that Nintendo still made the cards, even to this day. Many other games were made to play with Hanafuda cards and most of them were not meant for gambling. Somewhere along the lines the awesome game Koi Koi was made. It’s a fairly simple game to play. In some aspects it’s a lot like “Go Fish” and from what I have read, it is like “Go Fish”, in that, it is a gateway game to other Hanafuda games. So, now lets learn the gateway drug to Hanafuda.

Mahjong for the Japanese Impaired

The following guide was written our awesome Rising Stuff forum member BTD. Try the guide out and make sure you leave him some feedback.
So you want to learn to play Mahjong but everywhere you go there’s about 734 different rules. Well unfortunately there’s no real way around this. Or is there? This is a guide for people who want to know the rules of Mahjong just enough to play it and be able to actually enjoy playing. I have beaten two different Mahjong video games using these techniques (let’s be serious though, there’s no technique). Now will this guide make you equipped to go out and brave the fields of live gameplay? Probably not, but it will let you finally see those school girls drop a thread or two (if that’s your prerogative). Not that I play H mahjong games or anything…
Enough poor comedy and lack of quality writing from me… On to the lesson!
