Retrospektive 2009
On 05./06. september we had a retro exhibiton in northern germany. Many retro computers and consoles were shown, of course most of the exhibits were also playable.
Scorp.ius, the man behind the “Retro Snippet”, made a video of this event. The language in the video is german, but most of the spoken words are greetings or is self explaining.
But one thing is worth to explain a bit more: From minute 6:43 on you see Oliver Knagge, the man with one of the largest collection of Amiga games in the world. The exhibition was organized by him and was held in the guesthouse of his parents, where most of his stuff is stored in some rooms. So he proudly showed his collection to every interested guest.
OK, enough written, now enjoy the video of this cool event. Please ask if you have some questions or if i should translate some parts of the video
Gamescom ‘09 impressions (the videos)
Scorp.ius, a great retro fan in germany, regulary produces videos about retro gaming, called Retro Snippets. This are great videos about consoles, games, other retro fans and conventions. But well … all of them are in german.
Of course he also visited the Gamescom to produce 2 new videos. Luckily these videos don’t include much german talking, so you can enjoy all the impressions. And well, as a “special service”
i’ll translate the forewords of this videos. So lay back, grab a beer and enjoy the 2 episodes of this great show:
Here is part 1 with the modern games:
“So, actually i come from the Gamescom, can’t walk anymore. Now I only wanna drink a yummy beer. In the following video i’ll show you what i saw at the Gamescom.”
Part 2 with the retro corner:
“Hello, my name is René Meyer, i’m from Leipzig and i’m collector. My collection was recorded as the world’s largest of its kind in the “Guiness Book of World Records”. A part of it is presented here at the Gamescom in Cologne”
Gamescom ‘09 impressions (the photos)
It was the end of august … a hot day, here in germany the hottest day of the whole summer … perfect for swimming, barbecue and beer. And what did i do ? I visited the Gamescom

No Brand Con 2009 Coverage (Part 2)
The second half of my No Brand Con 2009 coverage shows a bit more of the stranger side of No Brand Con. Behold some odd moments from the No Brand Con Variety Show. Witness the Cosplayer who won’t get off the stage (no matter how hard Duct Tape Boy and I try to usher her off). In the end, a 100% successful convention. Footage provided kindly by Cheesus.
No Brand Con 2009 Coverage (Part 1)
I run No Brand Con in Eau Claire, WI. No Brand Con is Wisconsin’s Premiere Anime Convention, and we hold it every spring. This year, as I was so busy running around working on stuff, I didn’t get to film anything really. Fortunately, Cheesus and Harley were kind enough to send me footage to share with you. For the record, I’m the idiot in the ninja mask. More to come later as well.

MarsCon 2009
This year, like many years before, a bunch of us ventured to MarsCon (the one in Bloomington, MN) to run a room party. I didn’t get a lot of footage, so this video is fairly short — but we had a very good time.
Anime Milwaukee 2009
I went down to Anime Milwaukee 2.5 in… Milwaukee. It’s a rather small anime convention and while imperfect, it was still a lot of fun.
Coming Soon…
Hey guys, it’s Trae here… and guess what? I’m not dead or anything! Totally alive and still around! I know, you’re absolutely stunned. In any case, here’s a little news about what’s going on.
